Some things I love about you today…

I love…

…the way your eyebrows raise about as high as your voice does when you ask for something “nicely”

…and hate (in equal measures) the way you rub the back of your fist on my neck and chin to fall asleep or to soothe yourself.

…the way you trust me, in spite of my having I have earned it or not!

…when you play peek-a-boo with Reeve - your enthusiasm behind the peek and not so much the boo is heavenly!

…the way your lips pout, your voice lowers, and your tongue gets fat in your mouth when you are putting on a voice for one of your toys.

…the way you are beginning to pray on your own. You remind me when I forget and you even pray with your stuffed animals before indulging in your rosey tea party!

… the way you start your prayers with “Dear Heavenly Father” and the way you end your prayers with “Dear Heavenly Father, Amen”.

…the way you play your guitar – knee turned in, on tippee toe, shoulders wriggling.

…the way you bow – right hand wrapped around your waist, left hand around your back – and awaiting the applause of your loyal subjects.

…that you sing… all day… you sing! But mostly I love the way you sing the theme to “Olivia”. You love music and pronounce it "moonik".

…you add “and 10 little bottoms” with a bottom wriggle to the story ’10 Little Fingers & 10 Little Toes’ by Mem Fox. You pronounce fingers as “Miniks”.
